In this weeks seminar we took a look at perspectives and biases of design. We looked at the 10 rules of good design by Dieter Rams and also talked about biases of design in our daily life.

Personal experience/thoughts:

I reflected a lot on the design-biased-part of this seminar. As a small woman with short legs I'm facing more design biases on a daily base, than I was aware of. I worked a long time in a high building with air-conditioner and always felt cold whilst working. I accepted that I'm too short for a few things in the fitness studios (bike, few machines…). And when I'm driving a car I'm not only at higher risk because I'm a woman but also because to reach the gas with my foot, I stick at the steering wheel. At events I hate going to the restrooms because it feels like I spend more time standing in the queue than at the event.
