Personal thoughts
What I found very interesting in this weeks exercise is, that many decided to make the invisible visible. I have no idea how much water, energy and power my washing machine needs for one service. I only hear a sound when she's done washing. So what if you could see inside the machine, have a screen tracking all these informations for me. Would I be more aware of it and maybe wash certain things that take too much space by hand?
We are so focused to create things, that don't bother the human and makes it's life easier and comfortable. But by doing that we make him unaware of the waste of energy he creates for his comfort. Maybe if machines were loud again we would think more about how often we use them? We have become so human-centered that we forget about the life-centered aspect.
